Have you ever struggled figuring out the best angle to highlight your project’s value? Like there’s so many potential angle options, but which one that will fit the most?

That’s what we felt when we worked on the Kemenko 4 project for Alien DC until we finally found the answer. The final visual really helped Alien DC present the project’s value clearly.

The Seamless Connection

Fyi, this project soon will be the office of Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko 4) in Nusantara Capital City (IKN).

The basic design uses a sustainable approach, inspired by the Smart Forest City concept of IKN. And Alien DC wanted to highlight that value by showing the harmonious blending between the office and its environment.

Well, a tricky challenge we thought.

This Kemenko 4 is surrounded by Borneo’s vibrant woods. Since the eco-friendly idea is the spotlight of this project, it will be wise if we picture the building in a humble way.

The visual should be able to present the building’s character, yet still maintain the dense surrounding. We feel that uncareful treatment would only bring distraction from the spotlight.

An Angle with Diverse Impressions

After a deep consideration, we finally come to this angle.

You can see from the picture above, it gives a fresh perspective to see the building connecting with nature. The low height building allows you to sense how’s the relaxed-working-ambience feels like. Imagine when you have a tough day full of meetings or loads, the greenery next to your window can lower the tension a bit and soothe your mind.

This point of view also makes the sustainable concept become the center of attention. The design can stunningly stand out, but we still can feel the cool air running through every floor. Perfect for showing our determination in developing the IKN Smart Forest City.

We tried other angles too. The exploration then brings us to this result.

This visual makes us spend hours just looking at it (not literally hours, but still takes our time). The mood kinda gives us the feeling of seeing a big sale that we don’t wanna miss.

How dramatic warm color defines the building’s terrace shape, how negative space captivates us with the design, how the flying birds even take part in alluring our eyes to keep looking at the building, the composition is just right to present the harmonious blending between architecture and nature. And this feeling is what we want to share with the audience.

It was a fun journey with Alien DC. Working with them always motivates us to maximize the potencies of a visual. We believe the more we explore, the more we get new possibilities to demonstrate our project in a memorable way.
